Owner and operator, Mirit Kattsir, has worked in horticulture for nine years. She studied horticulture at Kwantlen University College, and has done landscape design, maintenance, and installation; she even spent some time working on vineyards.
Mirit is passionate about food, having complemented her work in horticulture with many years of work in the restaurant industry. She is very excited about being able to combine her passions in The Backyard Chef.
As the awareness about the nutritional (and taste) benefits of locally grown, organic food takes root, and concern for the environment is in the forefront of our minds, add to this the rising cost of food prices, it makes perfect sense to begin growing your food garden today.
